Generally the usual Cable line we use now are based on analogue technology wherein a cable operator receives all the channels and connects every home via lengthy cables. Digital Satellite Television receive all the channels beamed via satellite directly at your home in digital quality picture and sound. They are different from DTH or Current Satellite. Tata and Star together has started this service in India with the help of the INSAT 4A, an Indian satellite.
In India Tata Sky a brand name of Tata has launched the First Digital Satellite Televison. All you need is a Satellite TV receiver and a DTH Set top Box.
